School of Instruction

The 2010-2011 School of Instructions is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, September 17 & 18, 2010 at the Embassy Suites Dublin, 5100 Upper Metro Place, Dublin, Ohio 43017, 614-790-9000. From I-270, take Exit 17A Dublin/161 exit. Follow 161/Rt 33 to Frantz Rd. Turn right, 1/2 block turn right onto Upper Metro Place. Hotel is on the right.
Department President Linda Close has many exciting activities planned for the annual conference and invites all members to attend. This conference is designed to teach new and seasoned members about the American Legion Auxiliary programs while having fun. Department and District Chairmen are expected to be in attendance.
The Department Chairmen will expound on their programs starting with the five major programs (Americanism, Children & Youth, Community Service, Junior Activities, and Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation) on Friday evening. The general session, open to all members, is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM. District Chairmen will receive instructions from the Department President, Department Secretary, and the Department Chairmen. There will also be a short President/Secretary/Membership Workshop after the General Session on Friday.
Presentations of the remaining programs will continue on Saturday morning beginning at 9:00 AM. Again, all members are invited to attend. Please bring your Junior members who will also be meeting on Friday evening and Saturday.
Department President Linda will reveal her inspiring special projects at the luncheon. Unit members are encouraged to attend and learn about the exciting year to come. Make your reservations today!
Please note, the deadline for housing is Friday, August 27th. We hope to see you at the 2010-2011 School of Instructions as we begin our year.
